Who we are
Element Society was incorporated in June 2013 by Christopher Hill and Neil Hodgson to deliver local youth programmes in the Sheffield area. It is governed by a board of trustees that includes strong representation of young people.
The board of trustees overlooks the work of nine paid employees. The people working for our charity reflect our core values that young people can do unbelievable things and ought to hold an important role in decision making: six of our employees out of nine are under 24-years-old. Many of them are responsible of running some of our most important projects, or are leading the development of new projects.
The charity recruits around fifty volunteers every year across all its projects, however, there are ten individuals who are constantly engaged throughout the year.
