NCS Summer 2022 Information NCS Summer 2022 Information Pre-departure Parent/ Guardian Information Evening We strongly advise you to attend this as we give you all the important information ahead of the programme. Before you go... Bag Drop Bag drop will take place the week prior to your departure. We do this so that we depart on time, we can be pre-packing the bus whilst your teen is meeting their team! Monday - Thursday 10am-4pm - (Wednesday's 10am-6:30pm) Yorkshire House 66 Leopold Street Sheffield S1 2GZ (The door next to Yorkshire Building Society) Arrival time on departure day Arrive at Element Society for 9:30am. We advise that you do check the weather before packing if you need to adapt what bring. T-shirts Sweatshirts/ Hoodies Shorts Waterproof jacket / coat Night clothes / Pyjamas Socks and underwear - 1-2 sets of each per day Trousers/ Jeans/ Joggers Activewear: Leggings/ Stretchy trousers for Self Defence session 2 Pairs of trainers (one will get wet) Swimming costume / trunks (to go under clothes during water activities) Towel Hat or cap Water bottle! Toiletries: shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel etc Any prescribed medication Sun cream Bin bag (for wet clothes) Code of Conduct NCS is all about defining yourself, breaking the mould and showing the world exactly what you are capable of. To ensure that everyone gets the chance to have an incredible summer, we do have a few guidelines to help you feel safe, secure and make sure everyone is treated with respect. Please follow these guidelines during your time on the programme, as breaking them might result in you being asked to leave. By coming on the programme, your young person is agreeing to the code of conduct. Respect Have respect for everyone and everything, including yourself. No bullying Physical, verbal and cyberbullying will not be tolerated. Zero Tolerance Your NCS experience is a drug and alcohol-free zone. But trust us, you'll be having so much fun that you don't need them! Hands To Yourself We understand that you'll be meeting new people, and might even find someone you like. However, sex - and other sexual activity - is not permitted on your experience. Keep yourselves to yourselves and get to know them in a strictly PG way ;) Include everyone Don't leave anyone out. It's your chance to make new friends and meet all kinds of different people! Site rules Please stick to all the site rules of where you will be staying or working. No weapons. This includes pen knives. Consideration Keep noise levels low in public spaces and be mindful of others. Please do not swear. Be positive Give everything your best shot! You never know until you try! Have an amazing time! We want you to have the summer of a lifetime. So if you have any concerns or just need to talk, our friendly staff will be on hand at all times.
