Latest News What's on at Element Welcome Back! It's been a while! We're back and can't wait to get back involved with helping young people throughout Sheffield. Here's a list of everything we've got going on for you to get involved in! Youth Force If you could ask one question about the Covid vaccine, what would it be?!Youth Force is will be getting all sorts of people in to talk with you about the vaccine and answer any questions you might have about it. We're hoping to bring in religious leaders, doctors and nurses, leaders in the community, politicians, and even travel agents! You can come into the Element Society building for some interview training on Tuesday 1st of June, so you'll be great at asking questions on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (June 2nd-4th), it's all happening during half term! Chef's Circle A 6-week from-home project where we give you recipe cards and step-by-step instructional videos of how to make 12 simple meals for you and your family. We'll also be giving you live support on Instagram two evenings a week in case you're struggling. If that wasn't enough, we have some supermarket vouchers to give away to 13-18 year-olds so you can make sure your family has everything you need to cook the meals! Young women aged 14-18 can come along to our activities, sessions, and talks run by inspiring women from in and around Sheffield for free. These sessions will inspire you to dream big and break barriers, give you some ideas for careers and jobs, help you learn how to help one another, and build skills that will help you in education and employment. The Identity Project A programme of workshops about identity and mental health for young men to teach them how to better support each other. Starting when Covid restrictions allow, this programme is free to attend and is open to men aged 16-29 from BAMER backgrounds. Spaces are limited though! Social Action Dragons Den Have you got an idea for a project that will benefit your local community or the City of Sheffield? Do you need a bit of money to get it up and running? We can help! Email [email protected] to arrange a Dragons Den meeting with us where you can pitch for up to £200 to help get your project started! Youth Board Element Society is led by young people, and getting involved in the Youth Board group gives you the opportunity to be at the heartbeat of what we do by being involved with ideas for new projects and the direction we go in.
