Building closure
As of 09.00am on the 17th of March 2020, Yorkshire House will be cleaned and closed.
This closure is based on the current Government advice.
This closure is indefinite until further advice is released where we can ensure the safety of staff and visitors to the building. We are closely following the latest advice and guidance issued by the UK Government and Public Health England.
Update for NCS Summer 2020
NCS - The view from the Government and NCS Trust is that the NCS programme will take place this year as planned.
So far we haven’t seen the appetite of young people to participate in NCS be affected by CV19. Indeed since the beginning of March, the national EFL Trust network has added 1500 more sign-ups.
For information on our other programmes please contact your project lead.
Seeking advice
The risk to individuals in the UK is now high. Take simple precautions such as: cover your mouth or nose when you cough or sneeze; use tissues for coughs and sneezes and put them in the bin straight after use; wash your hands thoroughly and regularly with soap and water.

Please stay at home for fourteen days if you or anyone in your household has either a high temperature or a new continuous cough. Refer to the government's official advice about staying at home.

Check the official NHS advice for more information if you are concerned.
If you feel like you have coronavirus symptoms;
  • do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital
  • you do not need to contact 111 to tell them you’re staying at home
  • testing for coronavirus is not needed if you’re staying at home

Are you a young person affected by Coronavirus?

Along with our partners at Chilypep, we want to know if young people want to do anything regarding the current situation.

This might include:

  • providing support to other young people
  • volunteering and sharing information and guidance to other young people
  • setting up online groups
  • campaigning for support
