Home Office helps Element reach more young people

In late 2019 the Home Office funded Element Society to run the Street Reach project, which saw us send 3 outreach workers to the streets of Sheffield to meet young people who were at risk of becoming involved in gang, gun and knife crime and try to work with them to increase their prospects however we can.

Along with individual one to one support, this funding allowed us to work with local community groups and cafes to help contact groups of young people, and then run group workshops on various topics to try and help wider groups at a time.

Chris, CEO, said;

Working with the Home Office on a project like Street Reach represents a huge step for Element Society and our ability to reach, work with, and help improve the prospects and ambitions of as many young people in Sheffield as possible through an increasing number of avenues.
