Element Society has consulted with community members on behalf of the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (SYVRU).

We are looking to work with local community members in areas affected by violent crime in Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, and Sheffield.

Community members will be asked about the current violence reduction strategy and their thoughts on tackling violent crime.

The consultations will provide a paid opportunity for members across South Yorkshire to contribute to SYVRU’s violence reduction strategy. Feedback from participants will be anonymous and used in our final report. The report will be made publicly available and inform the current and future work of the SYVRU.

The sessions will be hosted across South Yorkshire between January 24th and March 4th. They’ll last approximately 2.5 hours with breaks. Food and refreshments will be provided.

Are you interested in helping inform your local violence reduction strategy?

To be eligible, participants must live in South Yorkshire and in a community affected by a violent crime or have been personally affected by violent crime.

Please contact [email protected]. Provide your name, postcode, age, and the best way to contact you. Eligible candidates will be offered a place on one of our consultations whilst spaces are available.
